Marzuki Usman

Marzuki Usman is Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the College of Financial Economics Perbankan Indonesia (STEKPI) and of the Board of Trustees of the Institute of Education Management Indonesia (IPMI). He also serves as the Chairman of the Advisory Council DPP Organda and as a member of the Economic Council of Muhammadiyah Central Executive.

Mr. Usman has had a distinguished career in government service, as Minister of Forestry in 2001, Minister of Tourism, Art, and Culture 1998–1999, and as interim Minister of Justice, interim Minister of Transportation, State Minister for Investments and Head of BKPM in 1999, and Secretary of State Owned Enterprises in 1998. Mr. Usman was also chairman of the Indonesian delegation at the WTO for the services sector in 1993.

Mr. Usman has lectured at various universities, including the University of Gajah Mada and the University of Indonesia, while he also taught at the Indonesian Banking Development Institute and the National Planning Program, School of Economics.

He served as an international member of the Advisory Board of the Nasdaq in New York in 1994, as a senior advisor to the Jakarta Stock Exchange and has also held positions on the board of a number of companies over the past 30 years.
