Irsal Yasman

Dr. Irsyal Yasman, is a Department head at Corporate Affair Division of Asia Pulp and Paper in Jakarta, since 2017 till present.

He is former President Director of PT Inhutani I (2007-2012), a state-owned forestry company of Indonesia, managing more than 600.000 ha natural forest concessions and about 70.000 ha forest plantation, in East Kalimantan. He worked as a professional consultant for project on forest management, forest restoration, climate changes and REDD+, and green economy. He wrote several books in forestry and published article for magazines.

He studied forestry at IPB University, graduated in 1984. He is PhD graduated from Wageningen University, The Netherlands in the field of environmental science and forestry, in 1995.

He joints a professional business Associations such as the Association of Indonesian Forest Concessionaires (APHI) as Advisory Board member, and the Indonesian Pulp and Paper Association (APKI) as Law and Policy Director, based in Jakarta.
